Sense Organs

  • Skin (Integumentary) – The skin is the largest human organ. It serves many functions: provides a barrier of protection; helps to regulate the body’s temperature; receptive to touch, pain, cold and heat. The skin houses millions of sweat glands and is the largest eliminative organ of the human body.
  • Eyes – provide vision
  • Ears – provide hearing and equilibrium
  • Nose – sense of smell, warms and cleans air intake
  • Tongue – provides the sense of taste
